The Silver Dollar Saloon is one of Marysville’s oldest historical landmarks. Built in the mid 1800’s, it stands still in testament of the beautiful craftsmanship of years gone by, and is now the ultimate historical dining experience.
The Silver Dollar Saloon situated on the corner of first and D Streets was at one time the center for most of the trade and the first stop for many of the men going to the Great Gold Mines of 1800’s. This is as far up the Yuba River the steamers from San Francisco could go.
The second floor of the building was a thriving and famous brothel. Many a weary miner gave their gold and their hearts to the ladies of the Silver Dollar.
